Neymar was officially recalled to the Brazilian national football team for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina, which he returned after a massive absence of 17 months.
Neymar is now playing for his childhood club Santos, who last represented Selecao, suffered a knee injury in October 2023 in a match against Uruguay.
Neymar has reignited his form since rejoining Santos in January and has been in Serie A in Brazil.
He contributed three goals and provided three assists in seven appearances, demonstrating his skills and abilities that influenced the game again. His impressive performance caught the attention of the Saudi Pro League in Al-Hilal.
Neymar, 33, is one of the most decorated players in Brazil’s football history. With 128 blocks, he ranks second in Brazil all-time, trailing only 142 hats legendary CAFU.
In addition, Neymar is considered the best scorer in the U.S. history, with 79 net goals, more than the iconic Pelé.
Currently, Brazil is ranked fifth on the Conmebol ranking table, amassing 18 points in 12 games. The national team will host Colombia on March 21 before heading to Argentina to face the team leader five days later.
