
At least 26 people, including four women and six children, attacked along the explosive device (IED) attacked by Rann-Kala Balge, to Gamboru Ngala Road in Borno State.
The incident occurred on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 11:00 am.
Zagazola Makama is a number of civilian vehicles traveling from Rann, Kara Balchi local government area, heading to Gamboru Ngala, affected by a range of explosives planted along the route, according to security analyst and counter-insurgency expert.
Security sources said the other three were injured in different degrees during the incident.
According to the report, the fleet unconsciously entered a strategically placed IED area.
Explosives are triggered by vehicle movement, resulting in immediate and significant casualties.
The emergency response team was quickly deployed to the site for evacuation and provided medical assistance to the injured.
After that, safety operators blocked the affected areas and began cleaning operations to prevent further incidents.
Meanwhile, the injured victim has been evacuated to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
