Music icon 2Baba has issued a public apology as the controversy surrounding his marriage to Natasha Osawaru continues, admitting the saga has created “too much entertainment” online.
The drama started when his former managers Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan accused Natasha of trying to take complete control of 2Baba’s finances and career during a live meeting with media personality Daddy Freeze.
2Baba later joined the live broadcast and warned them not to discuss his personal matters. The meeting ended abruptly when he and Natasha heard an argument off camera.
Tensions escalated when 2Baba’s family submitted a petition to the Inspector General of Police accusing Natasha of assault, bigamy and financial misconduct. They claimed she attacked him in the UK and Abuja and confiscated his passport and other important documents.
2Baba has since distanced himself from the claims, saying his family’s actions only exacerbated the situation. He also revealed that Natasha has been receiving death threats amid the ongoing dispute.
The 50-year-old singer spoke at a public event and called for calm and understanding. “I must say I didn’t provide much entertainment. Please don’t be angry with me anymore. Please forgive me and my family,” he said, adding that the ongoing saga had become “too much entertainment and needs to stop. “
