A European family expressed deep concern because their relative plan at 65-year-old planned to divorce his wife and move to Lagos, Nigeria to marry the young woman he met on Tiktok.
A Reddit user who claimed to be the man’s nephew disclosed this on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
He said his relatives had been in conversation with the woman for more than a year and had sent her a lot of money for various reasons.
“It started a year ago. My uncle (over 65, married) met a young girl (20-25) in Tiktok, started chatting and fell in love… ever since then , He sent her a lot of money for many reasons,” said Reddit user.
“Despite the family’s efforts to intervene, the uncle remains firm in his decision and refutes concerns about a potential scam.
“He didn’t listen to anyone and didn’t believe it was a scam. My family was worried that he would rob, torture or murder there.”
