Simba SC announced that they will not be competing in the scheduled match against Kariakoo Derby on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar Es Salaam for violating British League rules.
In a statement issued on 8 March 2025, Simba listed Article 17 (45) of the Tanzanian Premier League Regulations, which grants visiting teams the right to train at least on the field of competition before the competition. However, despite the schedule, Simba was denied access to the final training at the stadium.
The club claimed that security personnel related to Yanga were blocking their entry and despite efforts to resolve the issue for more than two hours, they still had to leave due to safety reasons.
Simba called for appropriate action against the persons in charge, highlighting their disappointment with the treatment they received. The incident occurred similar protests when it refused to play against Simba on May 8, 2025, due to the last minute of the timeline refusal to fight Simba.
