The refineries will be built by Eghudu Refinery Ltd at Delta State, MB Refinery and Petrochemical Company Ltd and his Refinery and Petrochemical Company Ltd at Abia State.

This development brings the total number of modular and conventional refineries in Nigeria to about 14.
The federal government has announced approval of licenses to build three new refineries through the Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Agency (NMDPRA).
The new facilities will add 140,000 barrels to Nigeria’s domestic refining capacity every day.
According to NMDPRA, Eghudu Refinery Ltd in Edo State has granted a 100,000 BPD refinery license, while MB refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd in Delta have granted a 30,000 BPD refinery license.

The third company, his Refining and Petrochemical Corporation Limited, received a 10,000 bpd refinery license to refine petroleum products in Abia.
“Chief Executive Officer, Engineer. Farouk Ahmed issued a license to build a 100,000 bpd refinery at Eghudu Refinery Ltd in Edo State, which is a license to establish a 30,000 bpd refinery at Delta State for MB refinery and petrochemical companies, and a license to establish a 10,000 bpd refinery in his refinery and petrochemical company.
“These permits increase Nigeria’s domestic refining capacity by 140,000 barrels per day,” NMDPRA said.
Now retailers lift fuel from Harcourt Port at the Warrior Refinery – Petroleum
The Nigerian Petroleum Products Retail Store Owners Association (Petroan) revealed that its members are now lifting petroleum products from Harcourt and Warri refineries.
This development runs contrary to previous doubts about the refinery owned by Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited.
