Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the governor of the RCCG of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, opened up his struggle for life in the church’s evangelical program about seven years ago.
Adeboye recalls how he collapsed in Ilesha and it got worse due to the impact of a bad road.
He shared his testimony during his service. The clergy also revealed that he had spent Christmas in bed for the first time due to the health crisis.
He narrated that after Ilesha collapsed, he was airlifted to the camp for the program, but some attempted to stop the helicopter from taking off, causing one of the windows to be damaged.
He said:
“Seven years ago, in the same plan, my body completely collapsed due to the horrible conditions of the road.
“This is the first time in my life I spent Christmas in bed. The devil is sure he finally got me.
“I collapsed in Eliza and to take me back to camp, we had to rent a helicopter. I was too weak to travel along the road – if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have done it.”
“Seven years later, I’m still here! I want you to thank God for saving my life.” Adboye added after telling the incident, urging the congregation to thank God for his life.
