Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a co-owner of Manchester United, joined the voice of the club’s supporters, regretting the current crisis at Old Trafford.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe said in an interview with the BBC that the club’s current players shouldn’t be there and that some should really earn the outrageous amount they receive. The 72-year-old spent £1.3 billion in 2024, with a 28.94% stake in the club in a deal, which puts Ineos in control of Glazers’ football operations.

He has been struggling on the court at Manchester United recently as they rank 14th in the Premier League. It was a day after fans protested about United ownership, and he also talked about the club’s financial difficulties, saying it would run out of money by the end of the year.

What does Sir Jim Ratcliff say to Manchester United?

Sir Jim Ratcliffe highlighted some of the players who were brought to the club when he was at the club.

“If you look at the players we are buying this summer, we are not buying, we are buying Anthony, we are buying casemiro, we are buying onana, we are buying hojlund, we are buying Sancho. These are things from the past. Whether we like it or not, we inherit these things, we have to put it into practice for Sancho. Pay for Sancho. New places from the past to the future.”

He also talked about the situation of the United Board of Directors and Ruben Amorim, following the current form of the team.

“A long list of injuries has hindered a coach who has reached a tough league in a tough league and has English as a second language. If I actually look at the teams that Ruben can use, I think he did a great job, to be honest. I think Rubin is a great young manager. I’m really a great manager. He’s a great manager. Arsenal. [the first team]…Because there is no squad. We did get to the last 10 or 11 people on the team, which is the right first-tier player. Reuben is working on a super job. ”

Manchester United supporters will hope that the club’s situation will find their own steps under the new management.
