The All Progressive Assembly (APC) in Rivers State issued a strong warning to Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara, calling for resignation within 48 hours, or the State Capitol suffered impeachment.
Chief Tony Okocha, Rivers’ APC chairman, delivered the final post at a press conference on Monday at his residence in Harcourt Harbor.
Okocha accused Governor Fubara of disrespect for President Bola Tinubu after attempting to mediate the state’s political crisis.

“As a party, we give the governor two choices: a glorious resignation or impeachment. This is the position of all the progress conferences.
She insulted Mr. President, we cannot tolerate it. “I think the House of Representatives does not need further investigation into the matter, citing the Supreme Court’s ruling to support its position.
“These crimes are clear and the Supreme Court has provided us with additional evidence. The House does not need to establish a committee to investigate him further.”
El-Rufai dump APC for SDP, citing irreconciliation differences
Former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai defected from All Progressive Congress (APC) to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) on the grounds that it is irreconcilable with the APC leadership.
In his resignation letter, El-Rufai expressed disappointment with the APC’s trajectory in recent years.
