The gunman rushed into a hotel in the Ojos satellite town area and shot and killed a record jockey (DJ) named Victor Dickson before escaping from the scene on Saturday, March 8.
According to the gathering, the attacker suspected of becoming a cult person invaded the hotel around 9:30 pm and opened fire at the DJ, killing him immediately.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin said K! The llers have been arrested by the homicide detective and added that efforts are being made to arrest other flee gang members.
Handion said at 9:30 pm on March 8, 2025 that police received a call in distress about the armed attack at the Gozzard Hotel on Abule Ado Community Road in Satellite Town.
Preliminary investigations show that the attack is related to ongoing cult competition in the region.
“A group of police detectives was immediately deployed to the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries. His body had been stored in the Mortuary, the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) in Yaba for an autopsy,” Hundeyin said.
He further revealed that a thorough investigation, including a review of CCTV footage, led to the identity and arrest of alleged gang leader Christian Chukwudi, also known as “General Marshall.”
He added that the locally made short gun and a live cartridge recovered from him.
He said Chukwudi admitted to being a senior member of the infamous cult that was responsible for the attack. Hundeyin further added that efforts are being made to track and arrest other involved gang members.
