    Suspicious herders attacked the community of Farin Dutse, a local government area in Nasarawa, Nasarawa, K!

    The attackers who invaded the community on Monday, March 10, 2025 also burned some homes, replacing and leaving many residents homeless.

    A simply identified resident Zaka, confirmed the incident, saying they were attacked around 3:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10.

    “The battle started yesterday (Sunday) in a mango tree, and the Fulani herders were cutting his cows. However, residents of the community approached him and stopped, but he got angry after a fierce argument and stabbed a man,” the source said.

    “So, on Monday morning, he mobilized his relatives to invade the community while we fell asleep. Many were K!

    He revealed that after being killed on Sunday, residents of the community mobilized and visited the Fulani Lodge and burned them in anger.

    A spokesman for Nasarawa State Police Commander SP Ramhan Nansel confirmed the incident in a statement Tuesday, saying six people were keded in the attack.

    Nansel revealed that a pregnant woman was identified as Azumi Allah Gaba when an angry mob was against K! Lling’s revenge mission is carried out by an angry mob to a nearby Ruga settlement.

    “To restore peace, a stakeholder meeting was held with leaders of the two communities. Therefore, two suspects; Usman Magaji, with one honor. Ibrahim Usman Kaka participated in the attack on police and attempts to rescue the victims K!lling, who has been arrested for further investigation.

    “Then, on March 10, 2025, at about 0647 HRS, the head of the Kurudu area sent a distress call reporting the alleged attack on the village of Farin Dutse by the herders, who burned the house.

    “A quick response team led by the Nasarawa Department Police (DPO) was deployed to the scene. Upon arrival, the attackers were expelled.

    “During the operation, three injured victims – Samaniya Wa’azu, Vincent Ezekiel and Johnson Maikasuwa were rescued and taken to a medical center for treatment.

    “Sadly, six bodies were found and identified as Simeon Madaki, Ayawu Senior, Wa’azu, Vincent Sunday, Taimako Senifor and Filibus Jatau Mai’anganga. Some houses, shops, motorcycles and a car were also destroyed during the attack.

    “To ensure law and order, the area has strengthened the area with personnel from the mobile police at 69 PMF Toto, as well as other police agents and military currently patrolling nearby.”

    Nansel assured that the order remains committed to ensuring the safety of all residents and urges the public to remain calm as the perpetrators of all unfortunate incidents are constantly arrested.
