A Nigerian Muslim woman has entered social media to address the common misunderstanding of intimacy during Ramadan by some married women.
Currently, Muslims around the world are observing the holy month of Ramadan, a time of fasting, praying and reflection. As of today, March 11, 2025, it marks the 11th day of the 30-day fasting period.
Nigerian Muslim woman Tinuke Vibes shared her thoughts on Instagram after learning that some of her wives have been in close relationship with her husband throughout the Holy Month. She expressed her concerns, clarifying that Islam does not prohibit intimacy with married couples during Ramadan, but rather puts forward specific guidelines.
According to her, during fasting hours, spouses are not allowed to date from around 5:30 am to 7:00 pm. However, once fast at night, the couple will maintain close relationships between 8:00 pm and 4:00 am before the start of the fast speed of the next day.
She stressed that although Ramadan is a period of spiritual devotion, it does not require a complete prohibition of marriage and can only be observed within the allowed time.
In her words; “You guys have started and they didn’t tell you not to collude your husband in Ramadan eh, when you fast, you shouldn’t do that at that time, but after you fast you can do as much as you can and keep firing.”
