    • After the kidnapping chain in the state, residents of Odo held protests.

    • The protests followed the recent kidnapping of nine surveyors in the state.

    • It was in which bandits attacked four Odog neighborhoods and killed 20 people.

    Ondo residents took to the streets amid protests against the state’s continuous kidnapping.

    The recent kidnapping case in Owode Ilu-abo in the local government area in southern Akur was reportedly the last straw as mine surveyors were kidnapped.

    The victim, said to be a native of Akur, was kidnapped last week.

    Reacting to this, people (mostly women) walked the road along Oba Adaida Road in Akure, Uto.

    Affort Afolabi gave a personal interview with the victim’s sister by the state, revealing that the kidnappers demanded millions of naira before they were released.

    She said;

    The kidnapper demanded N50 million before negotiations began to be held for release. ”

    She added: “The kidnappers now release the ransom from the ransom before the victim is released.”
