Social Democratic State Secretary (SDP) Olu Agunloye has filed with Police Attorney General Kayode Egbetokun for a conspiracy allegedly forcing him to leave the office.
Sources show that SDP members are Nasir El-Rufaithe former Kaduna Governor, who recently joined the party, is resigning to Agunloye.
Confirmed the petition Tuesday, Agunloye told Cable, “I petitioned someone to IG, who forged letterhead paper and threatened me to resign. ”
El-Rufai Officially Resign SDP was added to the All Progressive Conference (APC) (APC) on Monday after months of strategic discussions with opposition leaders.
The Senate refused to confirm his ministerial nomination after a deterioration of relations with the APC by Bola Tinubu, a voice critic of El-Rufai. In February, he claimed that Tinubu deliberately turned him out, dismissing the National Assembly’s rejection of his report.
In his resignation statement, El-Rufai vowed to link up against opposition opposition to APC and said:As a member of the SDP, I will focus on interacting with other opposition leaders and parties and convince us to join us and gather under a unified democratic platform to challenge the APC in all elections between now and 2027 and challenged by God’s grace. ”
He also called on his supporters and Nigerians who seek political change to join the SDP, describing it as a platform for national transformation.
SDP 2023 presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo reacted to El-Rufai’s defection, welcomed him to the party and described him as “Assets with verifiable and measurable public performance records. ”
