    Police seek public help to find families of two children taken from Talaba

    Police seek public

    The Nasalava State Police Department is seeking public assistance to find families of two 8- and 10-year-old children who have been found wandering near the junction of Malalaba.

    The headquarters spokesman SP Ramhan Nansel revealed this in a statement Thursday, March 13, 2025, saying that siblings identified as Fatima Isah and Halima Isah revealed that they were taken away from Jalingo, Taraba State, an unknown driver and were forcibly abandoned in Marararaba.

    The statement said: “Nasarawa State Police Department wants to inform the public that, on March 12, 2025, about 1,700 hours, received reports from residents of Ungwan Gwandara, Karu LGA, Malalaba, and noted that two children were found wandering near Mararaba Junction near Mararaba Junction.”

    “The police acted quickly and the police moved to the scene, safely recovered the children and brought them to the station. Working to track their families and reunite them.

    “These children, known as Fatima Isah (female, 10) and Halima Isah (female, 8), revealed in an interview that they were taken away by an unknown driver, Kasuwan Bera of Jalingo, Talaba, and were forcibly abandoned in Mararaba.

    “Police Chief CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed urges anyone with information about the children, their families or the situation surrounding their traffic, to contact the Mararaba ‘B’ department at Sani Abacha Road immediately, 08037005201, Sani Abacha Road, 08037005201
