    INEC releases voter registration for Rivers State LG election

    The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) has released the Rivers State Voters Registration to the Rivers State Independent Election Commission (RSIEC).

    Naija News The report said that RSIEC’s specialist in media and civic education, Tamunotonye Tobinsdisclosed this in a statement Thursday.

    Tobbins said local government elections will be scheduled on August 9. He guarantees the Commission’s commitment to holding credible, free and impartial elections

    “The River State Independent Election Commission is pleased to inform all Stakehokders, political parties and states of goodwill citizens: As part of the ongoing preparations for the ongoing upcoming elections for the local government council, the Commission has obtained the INEC headquarters from the INEC headquarters, which is updated as the latest register for the River State, as well as the current list of rivers in the political field.

    “These two important documents were issued to the RSIEC on March 13, 2025.

    “The Chairman of the Committee and the Members of the Committee hereby guarantee the good people of the Committee a credible, free and impartial election determination on Saturday, August 9, 2025,” It read.

    Recall the state’s House of Representatives by Martins Amaewhulehas called on the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and the independent Corruption and Other Related Crime Commission (ICPC) to invite the RSIEC Chairman, Justice Adolphus Enebeli (RTD), ask.

    The House requires anti-corruption agencies to investigate the financial transactions of the committee under Enebeli for a year.
