A 22-year-old woman, Zainab Ibrahim, was brutally defeated by unknown assailants five weeks after her wedding in Hadejia local government area in Jigawa State.
The incident occurred on March 12, 2025, and occurred in the WARWAEL quarter within approximately 1420 hours.
State Police Commander spokesman SP Shi’isu Adam confirmed the incident in a statement Thursday, March 13, saying that Zainab’s throat gap was found in Zainab’s marital residence.
“A newly married woman, 22-year-old Zainab Ibrahim, was found unconscious in her marriage residence,” the statement said.
“Hadia subdivision police led a team to the scene where they found her throat.
“Zainab was taken to Hadejia General Hospital where she was declared D3AD.”
PPRO said police have begun an investigation and are working to arrest the outrageous perpetrators.
