Former Social Democratic presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo describes Nasir El-Rufai as a transparent civil servant.
Naija News Adebayo reportedly said that despite the former Kaduna governor complaining to him that people don’t like him, he is still one of the effective politicians in the country.
Speaking with Arise News on Friday, SDP Stalwart explained that due to his patriotism and diligence, he welcomed El-Rufai to his party.
He admits El-Rufai Like all human beings, he said he has made a lot of contributions to the party and Nigeria.
His words: “Let me solve Erufai’s problem. I’ve been interviewed by the media and I welcome Nasir El-Rufai enters SDP. Someone said, why do I praise El-Rufai and all of that? I said, look, I’m not complimenting him. When you perform his work for him, I realized that El-Rufai is a technician and an accomplished person. He has his own weaknesses. He mentioned some questions to me. People don’t like it in some places Love him. I said, everyone has their own weaknesses. He has his own weaknesses. Handling this is his job. It’s not my job. I’m not his therapist. I’m not his mentor. But you can’t deny the fact that he is a very effective FCT minister. He developed Kaduna in infrastructure. He was excellent and transparent when he was in BPE.
“Like anyone else, El-Rufai has his own weaknesses. He is the person who will work in these. Not me. I have my own weaknesses. But it’s not that I’m the therapist for El-Rufai. The reason I welcome the party is that I think he is a patriotic Nigerian, hardworking, very effective in an era when we don’t have effective government figures.”
