
French President Emmanuel Macron said Russia must accept a 30-day ceasefire agreement proposed by the United States and Ukraine.
Macron said he discussed the situation with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Friday, March 14.
Speaking at his night video address, Zelenskiy said he and Macron discussed “the state of diplomacy, the possibility of existence and…the technical aspects of overseeing the ceasefire.”
In all these issues, Zelenskiy said, “we have explicit support from France.”
Macron said it was released on Friday night on X.
“I spoke with President @zelenskyyuan today and then with Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer.
“Russia must now accept the U.S.-Ukraine proposal to suspend production for 30 days. Russia’s aggression in Ukraine must end. The atrocities must cease. Therefore, the delay statement must also be.
“The meeting in Paris on Tuesday brought together forty defense personnel. Tomorrow, we will continue to work to strengthen support for Ukraine and achieve a solid and lasting peace, with video conferences with Prime Minister Steamer, President Zelensky and all of our partners.”
