Sevilla winger Chidera Ejuke expressed strong support for the Super Hawks, predicting the team will earn the highest points in their upcoming matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
Chidera Ejuke was omitted by the Super Eagles ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Ejuke’s 23-man roster announced by head coach Eric Chelle earlier this week was excluded, a decision that sparked a conversation between fans and analysts.
The 27-year-old has performed well with Sevilla and has demonstrated his skills and resilience since returning from injury.
In a recent interview with Lacolina de Nervion, Ejuke highlighted his belief in the depth and quality of the talent of Nigerian teams.
He said “Nigeria is rich in football talent and I believe the choice of coaches is very careful and purpose.
“If I had the chance to wear a national jersey again, I would embrace the opportunity with great pride. I’m standing out for the boys and I’m sure to cheer them from afar. I’m optimistic that they will win in two games.”
The Super Eagles will clash with Rwanda in Kigali on Friday, March 21, before returning home to Zimbabwe four days later. Fans are eager to see the fixtures as national pride, and their position in the World Cup is undecided.
