Dangote refinery once again lowered fuel prices.

Dangote refinery once again lowered fuel prices.

Dangote refinery once again lowered fuel costs.

The latest price drop comes after fuel landing costs fell to N774.82 per liter, below the pre-N825 sales price at the Dangote refinery.

However, unlike the price drop on February 26, 2025, the Dangote refinery has not officially announced a new price reduction.

This development took place in the ongoing price war between NNPC and Dangote, two major players in the downstream oil sector in Nigeria.

A spokesman for the Nigerian Independent Petroleum Marketers Association Chinedu Ukadike confirmed the development.

“It’s true. Some people speculate that the prices of imported products are now lower. This is why the price war is.

“This is a deregulation. Dangote has millions of liters and does not want any external forces to take up its market share. So that will force prices to be lowered,” he said.

Meanwhile, it is unclear whether Dangote’s latest gasoline price reduction will lead to lower retail prices at its fill stations, such as MRS, which sells N860 per liter in Lagos and Abuja’s N880.
