Naira praised the dollar at the end of the trade on Friday night, March 14, to prevent depreciation streak in the official forex market this week.
That’s because Naira raised N1,554.85 for the first time in Friday’s first review on Friday in exchange for N1,550.36 on Thursday.
The development shows that Naira has slightly reduced the U.S. dollar by N4.9 per day.
On the black market, Naira remained flat on Friday at N1,590, with the same exchange rate trading on Thursday.
Last Friday, Naira was 1,517.24 n1,517.24 per dollar, but compared with N1,550.36 that was traded in the official market yesterday, Naira (N33.12) weakened N33.12.
Similarly, Naira dropped N10 on the black market every week, while it closed last Friday last Friday.
