Nigeria’s Flamingos are eligible for the final round of this year’s FIFA Under 17 Women’s World Cup qualifying match, after a 5-1 victory over South Africa.

Harmony Chidi scored two goals in the first leg of the South African tie, executing a skilled header from a tight angle, and in the 37th minute of the second leg, he put the ball in the back of the net with cleverly putting it in the back of the net. This goal added the flamingo’s advantage after the initial 3-1 victory in the first leg on South African soil.

Shakirat Moshood has contributed to the goal in the first round and she once again demonstrates her creativity. Eleven minutes later in the second half, she passed a precise ball from a free kick on the right. The scene discovers Aishat Animashaun, who skillfully pops the ball out of South African goalkeeper Samekelise Mthembu, doubles Nigeria’s lead and further frustrates the visiting team.

Despite the immense efforts of South Africa’s Bantwana, including Zoe’s famous October performance, Thoriso Mphelo, Khmezi Khoza and captain Katleho Malebana, they are still struggling to penetrate into Nigeria’s strong Nigerian defense.

The constituent defenders Hannah Ibrahim, Jumai Adebayo, Philomena Isaiah, who showed outstanding organization and resilience, thwarting all attempts from South Africa.

The convincing victory underlines Flamingos’ dominance in the qualifying match and sets the stage for an exciting final showdown, which will be the winner of the upcoming match between Botswana and Algeria next month.
