Another day, another Kanye West rants on social media.
However, this time the rapper directed his position to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, threatening to “war” because of ownership of all trademarks associated with the daughter’s Northwest’s name.
Kim Kardashian reportedly was vandalized after Kanye West released a song involving their 11-year-old daughter’s northwest and the embattled Sean Diddy comb, who is facing several court cases of rape and sex trafficking.
Titled “The Lonely Road Still Going to the Sun”, the track debuted on West’s X account on Saturday, sparking threats from Kim’s opposition and legal battles.
The song allegedly thanked Kanye for his support while awaiting the trial of the sex trafficking allegations. It also features verses from Diddy’s son, Christian “King” Combs and a brief appearance by North, who says, “When you see me shining, you see the light.”
A source told Dailymail that Kardashian tried to prevent the track’s release by sending a stop letter and asking for an emergency hearing.
Although Kanye reportedly agreed to postpone the song, it was eventually shared publicly.
Apart from the controversy, West released and subsequently deleted screenshots of the heated text exchange with Kim Kardashian.
In it, he threatens to fight North’s participation in the legal war, claiming: “Modify it or I will start the war.”
In return, Kardashian insists that she owns the copyright of her daughter’s name and has sent out legal paperwork to protect her from being associated with the track.
Insiders say North recently joined West, who recorded her voice in the studio. West reportedly assured her that the song would lead to a revival of his upcoming Sunday service.
Aspiring attorney Kim Kardashian is said to be doing “everything to protect her child” and asked the judge to limit the child’s exposure to what she described as “hateful speech.”
The incident exacerbated the public influence between the former couple, who had four children between them.
Since being arrested in 2024 on charges related to sexual offenses, rackets and prostitution, Combs has been locked in with numerous names including Puff Daddy and P Diddy.
He was denied bail several times and kept his request for innocence, strongly denying all charges filed. His trial is scheduled to begin in May 2025.
