Nigerians respond to popular videos of youth Corper claiming she received threat message from New York state officials

Nigerians reacted to popular videos of youth Corper claiming she received threats from New York state officials for criticizing the Tinubu government

A member of the Lagos State University sergeant caused an alarm after receiving a threat message from his superior.

This is in her share of a video on social media calling on the government led by Tinubu to increase the cost of living.

In a widely circulated video shared by @talktoraye on Tiktok, the company members expressed frustration about the worsening economic situation in Nigeria and how it affected her as a Corper.

She further explained how the National Youth Services (NYSC) program was in her favor and had to spend more than she received.

“If many Nigerians come out and start talking about what we are going through, then the government may make a change. I just want to say to our president, I don’t know if there are other presidents as scary as you, but you’re a scary president.

“So, I came from a supermarket and went there to get food and everything went up again. Just like every week, the prices kept going up. I wonder, what has the government done with this growth? Will there be a specific time that will stop rising? Why do I want an egg box, and I was told it is priced at N6,500? It doesn’t make any sense to spend too much. I literally remember when eggs cost N800. I was overwhelmed because this was my first time staying outside a family house.

After I left the supermarket, I returned home, security and NEPA bill soared and prices doubled. Too crazy. I can’t keep up with these bills. I use it to pay my bills for every penny I make. The crazy thing is that you want to go out with your friends, Uber is N25,000. Why is it so expensive?

Worse, Lagos smells bad. It smells everywhere. What has the government done to this smell? As an NYSC Corper, the program has no benefit. I spend far more money on shipping than the federal government pays us. We should start calling the government. ”

Hours later, she shared another video claiming she had been receiving threatening messages allegedly from New York City officials.

In the video, alleged NYSC officials can be heard saying, “Are you normal? Stay quiet and put down the video you posted.”

    She said

“It’s useless to delete these: because they already know me, but deleting it means they won’t know anything they do to me, and if they decide to give me a heavy punishment, no one will know because I used my own hands to delete my start to cover it up.

Is she asking people to identify me? I’m not a criminal. Reading the NYSC rules, I did not commit any crime. Ask the New York State lady to stop asking people to point me, ATP she showed horror.

All I do is lament, all I do is complain. I’ve received a lot of this information from my Corpers. Only 1 person complained about something wrong! Why do they look for me like I am a criminal? I’m not stupid.

I make sure not to accuse the government of malicious intentions! I asked them. I’ll ask a question. As NYSC Corper, I did not sign my freedom of speech.

Let me bruh alone. They kept calling me and I turned off my phone. Now they text me my personal details about WhatsApp to let me know them very well.

Dear New York City, if you say Corper made a mistake, you won’t treat them like this and scare them! You are afraid of my dear life. Please leave me alone. You told me to report to the office on Monday. OK! what else? Why are you looking for me? I just exercised the right to use “freedom of speech”, which is the right of every citizen. Except they told me it was Corper of New York City, which separated me from my citizenship. ”

NYSC has not responded to the allegations.
