Chelsea organizer Cole Palmer was ruled out for North London derby match day by Enzo Maresca at the Emirates Stadium.
Blues manager Enzo Maresca explained to club supporters why he decided not to include Cole Palmer and Arsenal, one of Chelsea’s most critical matches of the season. According to the Italian, the midfielder felt something in the last training session before the game, so he didn’t choose him.
Why did Enzo Maresca shut Cole Palmer out?
“It’s known that he had some problems last week and unfortunately yesterday he had a small problem and we thought that probably after an international break he would be ready to come back with us. He was injured yesterday during the meeting. It was a very relaxing meeting, which is why we didn’t think it’s important. We still need to wait. We hope he will come back after an international break.”
Last season, Palmer missed Chelsea’s last game in the Premier League in the same game, with the Blues losing 5-0. But with the return of Beniot Badiashile, Maresca has good news and Wesley Fofana is back at the game.
