Jandor will report that he will announce his new party after meeting with President Tinubu.
Nigeria News Nalin It is reported that Dr. Olajide Adediran (commonly known as Jandor) is the 2023 Lagos State Governor candidate (PDP) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who will announce his next political move on Monday, March 17, 2025, after resigning from his resignation from the PDP.
Jandor’s spokesperson Gbenga Ogunleye confirmed over the weekend that he will address the media at Liberty Place on Adeniyi Jones Street in Ikeja, Lagos to disclose his next political step.
It was a discussion of undisclosed matters after last week’s closed-door meeting between Jandor of Aso Rock in Abuja and Bola Tinubu of President.
Prior to the meeting with Tinubu, Jandor also held talks with several political leaders, including: former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former President Ibrahim Babangida, former Governor Abdulsalami Abubakar and 2023 SDP presidential candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo.
Ogunleye described the meetings as part of an ongoing political consultation after Jandor exited the PDP.
The PDP’s state secretary and other party leaders also contacted Jandor, calling on him to reconsider his resignation.
But Ogunleye, who hinted at the strong interests of the main political parties, said: “The proposal for the main political interests is strong. Zhando cannot decide alone. The best decision will be made by stakeholders this weekend.”
Jandor previously resigned from the PDP, citing: Indiscipline and anti-party activities, betrayed the party’s leaders on the eve of the governoral elections in Lagos State, and the false claims of a coalition that misled PDP supporters to another candidate for the vote.
He specifically accused the PDP chief Bode George of playing an important role in the political struggle within the party.
With Monday’s announcement, Jando is expected to reveal his new political platform ahead of the 2027 election.
