The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) arrested the popular Tiktok personality, Murja Ibrahim Kunya, for allegations of abuse of the Nigerian currency Naira.
A source inside the anti-plant agency confirmed that Kunya was arrested to Kano’s free broadcasting station over the weekend.
The Daily Trust Report states that the source is cited;
“The investigation is underway and once completed, she will be prosecuted for prosecution”
Murja Kunya began her own social media journey and since then it has turned it into a full-time career. Her Tiktok account, Yagayagamen, has attracted a lot of attention, although her content often leads to controversy. It led to multiple convictions in the state of Kano.
Kunya’s arrest is a recent trend as the EFCC has also arrested other Tiktok influencers, including Al’amin G-Fresh and Ashir Idris, on similar charges.
