Nigeria News Nalin It was reported that the Federal Capital Territory Minister NYESOM Wike reiterated his commitment to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reelection in 2027, citing political loyalty and gratitude to his ministerial appointment.

Vick said at an interactive meeting on TVC on Sunday that his political loyalty remains tied to Tinubu, who played a crucial role in his political stability.

Wick stressed that loyalty should be reciprocal and believed that Tinob’s support for him should not be ignored.

“When someone helps you, only their reward is correct,” he said.

He further explained that his political camp initially wanted River Governor Siminalayi Fubara to prioritize their interests, but claimed that the governor did not meet those expectations.

“If someone remembers you when you need help, then the time is up and they should be remembered. What will happen if the President doesn’t give us this position?? ” Wick asked.

For this reason, he said he believes that the withdrawal of Tinob’s loyalty in the next election is not obvious.

Wick also criticized Rivers’ racial politics, especially his preference for Governor Fubara’s narrative.

He argued that the Ilyans did not benefit greatly from Fobala’s leadership, stressing that performance (racially not race) should determine political choices.

“Many politicians manipulate racial narratives for personal gain but fail to share their benefits with the people they claim to represent,” he pointed out.

Vick urged political stakeholders to shift their focus from racial and emotional politics, with priority on long-term interests and development.

Wike, a member of the People’s Democratic Party, has admitted in the past that he did not support the party’s candidate in the 2023 presidential election Atiku Aboubacar.
