Actress Lindsay Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan, is currently in prison in South Florida after being arrested for probation violations linked to her estranged wife Kate Major. The arrest came Sunday night in West Palm Beach when sheriff’s deputies detained Lohan after an arrest warrant issued by his probation officer after an incident in Harris County, Texas in February.
In February, Lohan was arrested for allegedly assaulting Kate Major at her home and lived with her son. The arrest sparked an investigation by his probation officer as Lohan has been on probation for 2022 convictions linked to patient brokers involving the rehabilitation facility he operated.
Being on probation means prohibiting Lohan from violating any law, and his arrest in Texas led to Florida’s violations. Lohan’s attorney Robert Gershman denied the allegations and pointed out that Lohan fits his probation and that Kate Major’s claim is wrong. Lohan himself insisted that it was Kate who abused him, claiming that there were videos to support his version of the campaign.
Lohan will now have the opportunity to file a case with the judge, who will decide whether he should be released from prison.
