
Family members, friends and advocacy groups demand justice for a 27-year-old woman, Zakithi Zasemhlungwini Ndaba, who was shot and killed, allegedly her boyfriend in South Africa.
Zakiti says Researching journalism and media studies, and later engaging in a career in culinary school, was murdered Apartments in Sunninghill, Johannesburg.
It was reported that when Zakiti couldn’t reach her, their family began to worry.
The next day, security personnel from her apartment building found her lifeless body on March 7.
Boyfriend Aviwe Poswa escaped the scene but handed herself over to SAPS on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
His bail hearing was held at 8 a.m. on March 20 at Room 1 Alexandra Court in Johannesburg.
A friend Sibusisiwe Busie said in a post on Monday, March 17 that Zakithi tried to end the relationship, but Aviwe threatened to take their children away.
“Zakithi tried to leave Aviwe, but he threatened to take her children with the help of his family.
Zakithi leaves behind a sad family and a child. Her loved ones described her as a vibrant soul whose life was shortened by ignorant violence.
Zakithi’s death has sparked new calls for stricter measures against domestic violence and women. Advocacy groups urge authorities to strengthen their efforts to ensure justice of victims and provide protection for those at risk.
