    Wizkid unexpectedly returns to the billboard picture

    Wizkid extended the African record with “Made In Lagos”, which surprised the Billboard World album rankings.

    Nigeria’s Afrobeats Sensation Wizkid’s fourth studio album, Made In Lagos, re-entered the Billboard World album rankings, secured No. 17 and marked its 146th week on the rankings, a record achievement of an African album.

    Released in 2020, “Made in Lagos” is known for its fusion of Afrobeats, Reggae and R&B, demonstrating the versatility and global appeal of Wizkid.

    The album has outstanding tracks, such asnature“Featured with Tems, which became the first Nigerian song on the Billboard Hot 100, peaked in the top ten after being remixed with Justin Bieber.

    The album’s lasting performance on the Billboard World album highlights its wide acclaim and international recognition of Afrobeats.

    In 2022, “Made in Lagos” ranked second in the Billboard World Album Rankings by the end of the year, second only to BTS’s “Proof”.
