Popular Afrobeats singer Timaya’s shocking destruction of farmland in Bersa state, which was allegedly caused by herders, has raised concerns.
The music star landed on his X page, calling on the government to take urgent action to prevent further damage, highlighting the destructive impact on local farmers and the agricultural sector.
Timaya expressed deep frustration, condemned open grazing and urged herders to embrace modern and sustainable practices such as pastures. He stressed the need for immediate intervention to protect the livelihoods of farmers in the region.
