Today, on March 19, voters in the Central Senate District of Kogi State began a recall process for Senate members, and Senator Natasha Akpoti-uduaghan cited their confidence in her representation and their dissatisfaction with her duties as a representative of Green Chambers.
The recall process comes weeks after she accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of sexual@l of harassment.
The recall process is expected to take two days in all voting units in five local government areas of Kogi Central Senate District. During the exercise, voters will be asked to sign a petition to the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) calling for the recall of senators.
After that, INEC will verify the signature of each ingredient upon receipt of the petition to determine whether they are truly registered voters for Senate Senate before practicing.
The collection of signatures took place simultaneously in four local government areas of Okehi, Okene, Ajakuta and Ogori/Magono.
