    • IBOK-ETE IBAS Deputy Admiral has been sworn in as the sole administrator of Rivers State.

    • The IBA has identified maintaining law and order as his biggest task, citing the main problem in the state.

    • His appointment comes after President Bola Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers State, with the governor and other officials suspended for six months.

Recently sworn in Rivers State Administrator Ibok-Ete Ibas Deputy Admiral IBAS (Retired), has determined that maintaining law and order is his greatest task.

Ibas made the statement while speaking with state legislators following the swearing-in ceremony at the Abuja State Capitol on Wednesday.

According to IBAS, the main problem in Rivers State is maintaining law and order, and he is committed to ensuring that this is achieved.

“We know what led to why we are here,” he said, “Mr. President made it clear on his broadcast. If the main issue is maintaining the law and order in the state, I think that any meaningful activity happens in Rivers, which is the biggest task I have.”
