The gunman kidnapped inspectors from the FRSC Federal Road Safety Force in the Taka Local Government Area of Benue State.
The incident occurred at around 10 pm on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Gathered, armed men shot and frightened his family and neighbors, and then kidnapped the victim in Uchi-Mbakor’s country house, shortly after he returned from the awakening of his buried cousin on Thursday.
Young people throughout the community immediately searched all night, but the gunman escaped the victim.
The commander’s spokesman Ngozi Ahula confirmed the development to reporters in Makurdi on Thursday, saying the official is currently serving in Wannue, Tarka LGA.
It was further learned that the victim may have been transferred to the hiding place of the kidnappers in the neighboring state’s Guma LGA.
