Ollalade, who held a fashion show in Lagos last October, took the longest distance on the show, with the model having a staggering 125.11 km (77.74 miles).

Unilag graduates took over the title from Robert Brown and Lorraine McCourt, formerly the Guinness record holders.

It took five days to complete 2,058 laps at the University of Lagos Indoor Sports Centre, exceeding the 120 km she originally planned to walk.

The enthusiastic model said in an interview with the BBC that she spent about N80 million to prepare for the task.

Speaking about the motivation behind her feat, Ollodade revealed that she had been told she wasn’t high enough to attend Lagos Fashion Week events after the audition. This has led her to create her own fashion, which she aims to inspire inspiration for the industry being rejected.

She said, “In the audition, the judge said, ‘Oh, you’re walking well, but you’re not tall enough,” which hurt my heart. I went home and began to think about all the models who were told not to have them because they didn’t have high enough height or skin condition, even if they were talented, even if they were talented, these people would show a certain stage on the stage.

This model narrates the pain he experienced in achieving this feat. Her legs were a little bit of bandage, but she didn’t give up on her mission

Ollalade reveals that her power comes from the determination to break stereotypes and encourage others.

“For every step I take to the catwalk, I’m hiking with the stereotypes and challenges we face in the model and fashion industry. It’s to tell everyone that your dreams are effective, and for all dreamers, chasers, risk-taking people are there, please take a break.”

She also said the amount of support she received from people kept her moving forward.

Not only is Ollalade winning alone, she also has an inclusive show that includes albinism or vitiligo, various models of tribe markings, and people of the size of the people showing themselves.
