Elon Musk provides cash to voters to sign a national petition against “radical judges”

Elon Musk provides cash to voters to sign a state petition, opposing activist judges?

Elon Musk promoted cash giveaways for voters in Wisconsin, who signed a petition against what he called a “radical judge” as former President Donald Trump continues to oppose legal rulings that hinder his agenda.

The U.S. PAC, founded by Musk, announced that it would provide $100 to voters in Wisconsin who signed a petition ahead of the state’s Supreme Court election on April 1. Musk’s re-announced petition on his social media platform encourages voters to reject judges accused of violating political law law.

The US PAC has recognized conservative candidate Brad Schimel as the Wisconsin Supreme Court seat, a crucial position for the battlefield state. The PAC also initiated financial incentives for petition signers who support First Amendment rights, including a $1 million lottery prize per day for voters in major swing countries.

The Justice Department had previously warned Musk and America PAC in October that their sweepstakes could violate federal law, which prohibits payments for voter registration.

The petition campaign comes after Trump’s re-criticism of the judiciary, particularly District Judge James Boasberg, who recently ruled against the administration’s deportation policy. Trump called on Boasberg’s impeachment, labeling him as a “troublemaker and inciteer”, prompting a rare public condemnation by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

Musk, the world’s wealthiest man and Trump’s biggest donor, donated $238 million to the U.S. PAC, according to a December document by the Federal Election Commission.
