A young girl was hit by rain during rainfall in Mbaiwen, Quad local government area of Benue State.
According to the gathering, the incident occurred on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Celina Agbatse compound where the victim went to fetch water.
As the rain began to fall, she sheltered in front of the house and waited to come down. However, she was hit by a powerful lightning bolt and suffered fatal damage. Witnesses immediately took her to Adikepo’s general hospital, but she was pronounced dead on arrival.
After that, her body was stored in a morgue in the hospital.
