Social Democratic State President Shehu Gabam revealed that VIPs, including senators and ministers, are joining the party in every state in Nigeria.
Naija News Gabam announced this in an interview on Channel TV politics on Monday, March 24, 2025.
The SDP chief said the party recently welcomed Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and he was willing to welcome more top politicians.
According to Gabam, the party’s mission is to cancel President Tinubu BallThe government in 2027.
He expressed confidence in the possibility of SDP taking over power, as the APC-led government did not listen to the risk of people losing elections in 2027.
Gabam insists that Tinubu believes that political talent is not enough to guarantee APC’s victory in the 2027 general election.
He said “In fact, every day we receive decampes to SDP, including every state in the federal state today. Today I receive some VIPs in the office.
“If you google, you’ll see over 300 resignation letters in the VIP, some of them senators and some of them ministers who joined the party.
“I am the leader of a political party; my mission is to take over the government, the mission of APC is to retain power, and the mission of PDP is to take over power.
“No one can lose the election; it has nothing to do with the glory or strategy of the individual. If there is glory, if there is power and efficacy, they would not make the mistakes they made today.
“We believe that an untapped talent surplus can provide leadership in Nigeria and no one can monopolize the quality of leadership that is unavailable anywhere else.”
