Zahra’s mother reportedly fell while a 37-year-old housewife fetched water in Bugakwo village of the FCT Kuye Regional Council.
Bugakwo’s village chief Suleiman Adamu confirmed the incident by phone to Daily Teust, saying it happened around 2:34 pm on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
Adamu said the mother of four left the house to get water from the drill hole at the time of the incident.
He said that when she suddenly fell, the woman was already home on her head.
The village chief said she fell immediately and neighbors around the area poured water at her.
According to him, the woman was transported on a motorcycle to the Kwaku Primary Health Center, where she was confirmed to have D3AD
He said he instructed his two assistants to inform her husband on the farm
“When the incident happened, the woman’s husband went to the farm, but I quickly instructed my two palace assistants to inform him.”
The country head said the woman’s husband said the deceased complained about a severe headache on Saturday night and gave her paracetamol before he left the farm after Subhi Prayers
“Unfortunately, medical staff at Kwaku Health Center later attributed the woman’s death to hypertension,” the head explained.
