Chioma Akwuobi, a Nigerian woman, narrates how her husband walked out of marriage with all the household items.
The mother of five said in response to the story of another Nigerian woman, Mercy Kalu Ebe, that she was abandoned by her husband after claiming she was financially supported by her and funded his lifestyle.
She wrote: “People carry refrigerators Una dey complained. My entire bed and mattress brought my entire bed and everything in the house in the pot! Until today, I have never bought a bed or chair.”
I lay on the floor while my kids were sleeping on the mat! Each gaddem night lasts 5 years and has to be calculated because I would rather pay for the tuition than spend 85K to buy a mattress.
