A man of 32 years was found in a mosque after praying in the Paso community of Gwagwalada Regional Commission in FCT early in the morning, found as Rayyanu.
The incident was confirmed as Paso resident Ibrahim Musa said the incident happened around 5:56 a.m. Tuesday when the late Rayyanu came to the mosque to observe Subhi for praying.
He said the deceased came to the mosque on a motorcycle and decided to take a nap after praying, but died during sleep.
“It was about 7:28 am when some people in charge of the mosque saw the man lying in the mosque. They tried to wake him up and let them clean the mosque, but there was no response.”
He said the two men issued an alarm, drawing the attention of some Muslim elders in the area, who rushed to the mosque and took the victim to a hospital where doctors confirmed he was dead.
Moussa said the deceased was later identified and handed over to his relatives for burial.
