The House has revoked its decision to a second-read bill to remove immunity granted to the vice president, state governors and their representatives.
The bill is said to be aimed at curbing corruption, eliminating impunity, and increasing accountability for public office. However, the House has canceled the second reading paragraph, saying the revocation is based on the need to debate certain provisions of the bill.
LIB earlier reported that the second reading of twenty-two amendments were conducted in the House on Wednesday, March 26, which included the removal of one of the immunity of the vice president, the governor and his representatives.
