The Premier League has two summer transfer windows this year

The Premier League has two summer transfer windows this year

The Premier League announced that there will be two transfer windows this summer, citing “excellent” situations related to FIFA Club World Cup.

From Sunday, June 1st to Tuesday, June 10th, the first window will open earlier than usual. According to the World Football Dominant Agency, it will temporarily close before reopening on Monday, June 16.

The second transfer window will follow the usual schedule, which is closed on Monday, September 1.

The decision comes after announcing its participation in the temporary transfer window of the club’s World Cup club in October last year.

The move allows teams such as Chelsea and Manchester City to strengthen their squad and complete contract extensions before starting the game in the United States on June 14.

This is after Premier League clubs objected to the idea that transfers could not be made during the club’s World Cup.

They pushed an earlier domestic window to prevent being at a competitive disadvantage.

The deal was reached after the Premier League meeting held on Thursday. The league confirmed in a statement: “Due to the special registration period related to the FIFA Club World Cup, the window will be open between Sunday, June 1 and June 10 (June 10). It will then reopen on Monday, June 16 and close on Monday, September 1.”

Last summer, the transfer window opened from June 14 to August 30
