Starting from N797, the landing cost of imported high-level sports spirit has increased to N885 per liter.
The association of major energy marketers in Nigeria revealed in daily energy announcements that the landing cost of gasoline increased by 88% compared to the cost per levitation of gasoline last week.
This means that the price of imported gasoline at Nigerian gas stations may increase from between N940 and N970 to about N1,000 per liter.
The current landing cost of gasoline is N797, which is N815 per liter compared to the former sales price of gasoline from Dangote Refinery. For this purpose, Dangote gasoline is sold at retail prices at the N860 and N880 in Lagos and Abuja.
The Dangote refinery’s decision to stop selling Naira’s oil products on Wednesday could impact the company’s new price template.
Through the development of the country’s downstream industries, prices of Dangote gasoline and imported fuel are expected to rise soon.
On Tuesday, the Nigerian Petroleum Products Retail Store Owners Association warned Nigerians not to panic buying amid uncertainty in gasoline prices.
Petroan urged the Nigerian government to continue its Naira-seldom deal with Dangote refineries while ensuring fair pricing competition in the country’s downstream industries.
“Petroan also pointed out that reports circulating in the media that the temporary suspension of sales of the Dangot refinery in Naira was the reason for the panic purchase.
“We want to assure the public that this is not a reason to panic purchases,” it said.
