Agents from Zamfara State Police Command repelled the attack by Daredevil bandits in Keta town of the state on Thursday, March 27.

Command Police Public Relations Office DSP Yazid Abubakar confirmed this in a statement he issued in Gusau.

According to Abubakar, the police also neutralized many bandits, including a notorious Kingpin “Dan Mudale”, who has been terrorizing TSAFE and its surroundings.

The spokesman said: “In about 1540 hours, a good Samaritan reported that many armed bandits attacked the town of Keita with the aim of committing inhumane behavior.

“In response, a joint operation included police mobile forces, counter-terrorism sectors, hunters and community protection, mobilized gangsters and participated in a strong gunfight.”

However, PPRO said in the attack that a police officer, four members of the Community Protection Guard and two hunters.

Police said two hunters were being treated at the Federal Medical Center in Gusu.

The police assured the state its comprehensive commitment to restoring peace and urged citizens to report any suspicious behavior to the security agencies in order to act quickly.
