Two scavengers arrested for stealing aluminum cables at Ogun

The National Community, Social Wildness and Security Forces, also known as the SO-SAFE Corps, were only two scavengers in all Stelling Aluminum Cables in the Ewekoro local government area Odada-Oko.

The suspects, Kamoru Mustapha, 25, and Mubarak Idris, 26, were arrested on Saturday’s daily patrol. Their arrest was made through a statement by Soji Ganzallo, the state commander of Soji Ganzallo, the office of the Director of Information and Public Relations.

“On March 29, 2025, about 0,500 hours, officers from the regular patrol arrested two suspects, Kamoru Mustapha and Mubarak Idris, for stole the aluminum cables,” the statement said.

According to the commander, the suspect was caught by a bush while trying to pull the stolen material van. They reportedly admitted to the crime during the trial.

The suspects and the recycled exhibition have been transferred to the commander of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Forces (NSCDC) in Ogun State, located in the village of dekudu, along Kobape Road in Abeokuta, for further investigation and possible prosecution.
