Did the kidnapper of my seven-year-old son K like him after asking N3M to extort ransom? Bao Qi's father

A Bauchi’s livestock businessman Abdullahi Safiyanu describes how the kidnapper kidnapped his seven-year son, and K!

lib Report Shuaibu Safiyanu was kidnapped in the Darazo local government area in the state on March 20, 2025, and D3AD was later discovered in the bushes.

Speech to PUnchchthe 42-year-old father talked about how he received news of his son’s kidnapping.

He explained: “When we were in the livestock market, it was said that a group of young people who usually went to the market were heading towards my house. They went to my house with their son’s friends and they were a little older than him.”

“It seems they were invited by someone. This person still didn’t know about me. Before reaching my position, they met with the person who called them. Then, he told my child that in my compound, his child came with him, claiming that he wanted to send him an errand. After he talked to his son, he chatted on my son, and he wrote a phone number on my son on my paper and asked about my son.

“Because they were not familiar with such issues, when he (my son’s friend) came home, he forgot to convey the message and continued to do normal activities. Later he remembered it and gave me the paper of the phone number written by the kidnapper.

“It was obviously sent to me so that I could contact them. Then I called this call and told those who answered a boy to take the phone number home. The recipient (kidnapper) said, “Yes, I’m the one who gave them the phone number.” ”

“And he told me they were with them with a boy. Then I asked, “What?” ”The people on the other end said they just wanted money and had to catch my son.

“They immediately asked if I didn’t want to see my son alive and that’s all.

“First, I reported this to the police and said that my son was kidnapped. I also showed the police the phone number provided by the kidnapper. Then, we continued the search. However, when we (the police, my relatives and me) tried to call that specific phone number again, it still couldn’t achieve.

“Later, when we managed to contact them (the kidnapper) by phone number, we asked them what their question was and why they kidnapped my son. They said the money was their problem; they needed the money. We asked them why we should give them money because they didn’t know us.

“Then we asked what they would do with my son if we didn’t give them money. They said they wouldn’t do anything to him. However, they added that the victims of their kidnapped would not be released without their relatives paying the ransom.

“Then my brother suggested we ask them for the amount of ransom. They said they need N3M. Hearing this, my brother said we don’t even have N100,000. Then they said they don’t care how we’ll make money and we should go looking for it.

“We later bargained n200,000 and they warned that if we didn’t send the money they would kill the boy. We begged them not to kill him. The next day we returned to the police station and the district head of Musa Isah of Gabas.

The next step we took was to pay for tracking its location and call again. But before that they took us to a house in the local government area of Darasau and said my son was kept there and we should take him when we arrived. Unfortunately, when we got there, he couldn’t find him. Since then, we have become suspicious and begin to wonder if Shuaibu is still alive.

“After a day, we continued to negotiate the amount and agreed to N200,000. We then asked them to send an account to receive the money. The account they sent later belonged to one of them.

“They called again and said they shouldn’t be sent to the bank account. Then, they sent the point-of-sale (POS) account details for the POS operators belonging to Darasso. Before that, the police had already known. We had provided them with account details and they had tracked the owner. The police then told the POS operator that someone would charge money from the account.

They told him that when the person arrived, he would be under surveillance. The POS operator then notified the police that the man had arrived before sending out the money, charged 5,000 n5,000 n5,000 on credit, and left a phone call saying he would return later. When he came back to collect the money, he was arrested. He was arrested. Once arrested, he was thrown away his SIM card and could not be found.

“Two days later we went out to find my son. We searched the house they had previously directed us, but there was no sign of him. In the process, I went to the nearby bushes and noticed a lot of flies wandering around the area.

“I immediately called the people who were with me and asked if they could smell anything. They confirmed. We had been searching and eventually found my son’s body there. For security purposes, we stopped and called the police to come and retrieve the body ourselves.

Regarding how he felt when he saw his son’s body, the father said, “I can’t explain how I felt when I found my son’s body. Sadly, they didn’t wait for the ransom before k!ling ling my child.”

“They tied him up with a rope about three times. We also saw blood on both sides of his arms. After seeing the body, I left my brother there and went home. We didn’t say anything. We knew, we found blood on both sides of our arms. That’s all.

Abdullahi revealed that his wife and the boy’s mother had almost received his D3ath message.

“She almost collapsed. Until now, she wasn’t herself. She didn’t eat until she dated.

Now that they have been arrested, what punishment do you want the government to impose on them?

Just like they did to me, I hope the government will do the same to them. Everyone with children knows the feeling of having a child. I hope the government repays what they did to me

If you have the opportunity to meet people who have your son, what would you tell them?

If it were my still bad temper, I would fight them. That’s what I was when I realized my son was killed.
