    Sanusi’s Eid entourage stabbed Vigilante to death in Kano

    Kano State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old suspect, Usman Sagiru, from Sharifai district, to be fatal stabbing by a wary member during his accompanying Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II after praying with EID on Sunday, March 30.

    The incident occurred around 12:40 pm as believers spread from the Eid prayer field. According to police, Sagiru and other suspects who remained the whole person attacked the alert and stabbed Surajo Rabiu, a member of Sabon Titi Jaba Quarters.

    Naija News It was learned that Rabiu later succumbed to his injuries, while another Virgilante from Kofar Mata district, suffered severe injuries and was currently being treated at the Murtala Mohammed Expert Hospital.

    Authorities have conducted a comprehensive investigation into the attack and are working to arrest the remaining suspects.

    In addition, Shamakin Kano, Alhaji Wada Isyaku has been invited to interrogate as part of an ongoing investigation.

    The Kano State Police Department also reiterated a strict ban on Duba’s celebrations, emphasizing that any violation of the directive would have legal consequences.

    Authorities highlighted their zero tolerance policy for Thuggery (DABA) and other activities that could undermine public order.

    “We urge the public to remain calm and cooperative as we work to ensure peace and security in Kano,” he said. The police statement read.
